Originally on a pre-med track at Harvard, Mollie found her compass redirecting towards finance during her senior year of college, initiating an unexpected journey that would profoundly shape her professional future.
This course took an even more significant turn in 2015 when Mollie was diagnosed with breast cancer. Bravely navigating through 13 surgeries, Mollie emerged with a reinforced sense of purpose and a resolute focus on social impact. Post-recovery, she channeled her energies into a career devoted entirely to housing, leveraging her financial acumen to make a tangible difference in people's lives.
Mollie serves as the Chief Financial and Investment Officer at JPI. Commanding a broad spectrum of JPI's operations, she spearheads investment, capital markets, finance, accounting, legal, risk, and technology initiatives. With a substantial background in real estate private equity and real estate and construction technology, Mollie stands as an influential force in the commercial real estate industry. In her integral role, Mollie is a guiding voice on both the Executive and Investment Committees, contributing significantly to JPI’s strategic vision.
Prior to joining JPI, Mollie honed her skills and expertise working with institutional investors in real estate private equity, both domestically and internationally. She co-founded and served as a partner at Cephas Partners, a private equity firm specializing in alternative investments, primarily within real estate. Prior to co-founding Cephas Partners, Mollie held the role of Vice President at Bank of America Merrill Lynch in the Real Estate Principal Investments group in New York. From 2019 to 2020, Mollie served as Head of Affordable Housing and Chief Financial Officer on the Executive Team at Katerra.
Widely acknowledged as a visionary leader, Mollie’s strategic expertise has made a mark on multiple property types and companies, representing an impressive $10 billion-plus portfolio.
Mollie's leadership expands beyond her professional responsibilities, as she devotes her time and expertise to championing affordable housing and eradicating homelessness. She holds board positions with Urban Housing Ventures, Pallet Shelter, and LandSea Homes (NASDAQ: LSEA), and provides advisory services to the Runstad Department of Real Estate at the University of Washington. Previously, she was a board member of CREW Network, supporting over 11,000 women in commercial real estate.
Her dedication and excellence have not gone unnoticed, earning her accolades such as Seattle’s 40 under 40, and NAIOP’s National Developing Leader Award. She has also been recognized as both a BisNow Seattle Power Woman and an AEC Innovator.
An alumna of Harvard University, Mollie holds an Honors Degree in History and Science (biochemistry), with a notable record as a member of Harvard's award-winning women's rowing team, earning NCAA Division I All-American, All-New England, and All-Ivy honors as well as a team to a National Championship in 2003 and a 3rd place finish in the Women’s Varsity 8 in 2005.
Away from her professional commitments, Mollie savors the natural beauty of her home state, Washington, with a spirit for adventure. She enjoys hiking, biking, fishing, mountaineering, and skiing trips with her three children, as well as journeying across the globe.
A strategic leader in the commercial real estate industry, Mollie brings a passion for technology, innovation and continuous improvement to her role as JPI's Chief Financial Investment Officer.
